This year, our summer day camp will look a little different. TKBGC is dedicated to supporting our members and families in the best way we can. Due to the ongoing pandemic, our club is scaling back our in-person summer camp program. This summer, TKBGC will be offering both a virtual and in-person summer camp program to our members!
On June 29th , TKBGC will launch our virtual summer camp for members aged 5-13 for FREE!
In addition to our virtual summer camp, we are very excited to announce that on July 13th, we will be opening our 101 Spruce Street location for in-person summer camp! Online registration will open on July 2nd, with 24 spots available.
Please Note: In-person summer camp is for members aged 5-13.
Below is a list of FAQ regarding both our in-person & virtual summer camps.
We're excited to be opening our doors again, and we can't wait to be able to welcome you all back to our space!
Let's Get Excited About Camp!
Session 1: July 13 - 24
Session 2: July 27 - August 7
Session 3: August 10 - 21
According to Provincial Government guidelines for Day Camp, children must be in groups of 10 and not mix with other groups. TKBGC will open up registration to our community on a first, first served basis and allow for a safe number of children to use the space.
Children will sign up for one two week session and are asked to attend the entire session. Children will only have access to one session for the summer.
Three cohorts will be in the building for each two-week session. Each cohort is comprised of 2 staff and 8 kids. Each cohort will spend the majority of their day on their assigned floor and will eat lunch and store belongings in a dedicated space on their floor. Cohorts will not mix and TKBGC will try our best to ensure siblings from the same household are in the same cohort. Some outdoor activities will be planned.
10:00AM – 3:00PM – Children’s Program (ages 5-13). Screening will begin at 10:00 am and children should be picked up no later than 3:00 pm. If your family needs accomodations to this schedule please get in touch with us.
4:00PM – 6:00PM Youth Program (ages 14+)
TKBGC is committed to keeping our children, youth and staff safe at our programs. Hand sanitizing stations will be located at the entrance of every room, and members and staff will be required to take hand washing breaks multiple times throughout the day.
TKBGC will not be providing lunches or serving food so please ensure you send your children to the building with lunches.
Participants will be asked to keep 2 metres apart when possible and staff will be enforcing social distancing measures.
Please Note: As mandated by the City of Toronto all individuals entering our facility will be required to wear a mask. Those who do not have masks will be provided one upon entry into the building.
If you have questions about our decision to require masks at our program, please get in touch with us.

How does it work?
Virtual Summer Camp will be offered to our current members ages 5-10 and 11-13. The TKBGC staff you know and love will be facilitating live camp sessions every day from Monday to Friday that last 45 minutes – 1.5 hours. Children will be put into camp groups, just like before, but this time they will be meeting in our online camp space with their camp counsellors.
How do I sign up?
Registration for our Virtual Summer Camp launches on Friday, May 29 and are open to families until Friday, June 12 but we encourage you to register as soon as possible so we can prepare for the launch of camp. Summer camp will be split into four sessions lasting 2 weeks each. There is no limit to how many sessions you can register for.
