What can you do in 12,473 hours?
You can earn a Masters degree. Walk across Canada and back (almost). Fly around the world 293 times. Climb the CN tower 24,946 times (based on an average time of 30 minutes per climb-although I would not recommend it:)
Let me tell you what 716 of our volunteers did with 12,473 hours in 2015!
You ran coding programs, chaperoned girls run groups, planted our gardens, cleaned and painted our spaces, painted faces, barbecued, ran yoga programs, carnivals, egg hunts & holiday parties, prepared and served snack, raised money, raised awareness, built bikes, supported our hamper program, organized events, baked cupcakes & decorated cupcakes, stuffed backpacks, stuffed envelopes, read books, helped with homework, you taught, mentored, provided governance & pro bono services, took photos, provided arts programs, served dinners, ran boot camp & some of you even raced through the city for us…I could go on, but I think you get the idea!
12,473 hours of support. Touching the lives of over 1000 young people. Increasing hope and raising spirits.
You are one of more than 16,000 volunteers within Boys and Girls Clubs across the country who help to make our communities stronger. Without you, none of the work we do would be possible!
On behalf of our members, their families and our staff, I would like to say thank you. We truly appreciate that you have joined us on this journey.
