About Us

Our Impact Header About UsBetween 3:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m., that’s when more than 40 percent of violent crimes against children take place.  It’s also when many parents struggle to find quality care for their children.

Our Mission is to provide a safesupportive place where children and youth can experience new opportunities,  overcome barriers,  build positive relationships and develop confidence and skills for life.

Since 1921, the Toronto Kiwanis Boys and Girls Clubs has been dedicated to working with and enhancing the lives of children, youth and their families, we provide the building-blocks for creating healthy, civically engaged young people. During that time we have served over 50,000 young people. The Club serves over 1,300 young people annually, and over 525 young people on a daily basis. Each of our Club sites are at the heart of our communities. We create innovative programs that address and meet the changing needs of the communities that we serve.

The Club offers children, from age 6 to adulthood, a safe, affordable, enriching and, most importantly, fun place to be.

The Club instills strong core values that teach the importance of mutual respect,  teamwork and being socially responsible through accessible and affordable  after-school and school-break programs for children and youth.

Children and youth participate in challenging activities that encourage healthy living, personal growth, learning and community involvement. We build self-esteem through supportive adult mentors and engaging activities that challenge and enrich the mind body and spirit of each young person. Programs and activities are centered on:

  • literacy and learning
  • cooking and nutrition
  • physical activity
  • creative arts
  • personal development

Toronto Kiwanis Boys & Girls Clubs operates four program sites serving families living in Toronto's inner-city; Regent Park, in the downtown east and Trinity Bellwoods, in the downtown west. The Club proudly offers diverse programming to meet the needs of these communities. We provide service to 525 children and youth on a daily basis and serve over 2,650 nutritious meals, defined by Canada's Food Guide standards, each week
